Louisiana State Police Investigate In-Custody Death in East Feliciana Parish Clinton - On July 19, 2022, shortly after 12:00 pm, Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations received a request by the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office to investigate an in-custody death of 42-year-old Jamie Wisham of Jackson. Preliminary investigation revealed that Wisham was arrested on July 16 by the Jackson Police Department and booked into the East Feliciana Parish Jail. Earlier today, Wisham was observed to be experiencing medical distress. He was subsequently transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival. This is an ongoing investigation and further information will be released when it becomes available.
