Pearl River – On October 22, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L began investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian on LA Hwy 41 south of LA Hwy 36 in St. Tammany Parish. The crash ultimately claimed the life of 32-year-old James Gros of Pearl River. The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown vehicle traveling on the LA Hwy 41 struck Gros in the roadway and left the scene. Gros was pronounced deceased at the scene. This crash remains under investigation.
