Iowa – On September 9, 2025, just before 8:00 a.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop D began investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash on Interstate-10 East near Louisiana Highway 383. The crash claimed the lives of two individuals who are pending identification and notification to next of kin.
 
The preliminary investigation revealed that a Kenworth Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) was traveling east on I-10. For reasons still under investigation, the CMV began to travel off the roadway to the right before striking a group of trees and becoming engulfed in fire. 

Both occupants of the CMV sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. This crash remains under investigation.
