TROOP A NEWS RELEASE State Police Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting in East Baton Rouge Parish Baton Rouge – Just after 2:00 p.m. on June 17, 2025, Detectives with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations were requested to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred on North Foster Drive near Fairfields Avenue in Baton Rouge. Louisiana State Police Crime Lab is working to process the scene and gather further information. One agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and one subject were wounded during the incident and transported to a local hospital. This is an active investigation, and further information will be released when it becomes available.
