UPDATE: Mr. Porter was located safe and is being transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The Silver Alert is cancelled. Please direct any questions to the New Orleans Police Department. 

Orleans Parish – Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the New Orleans Police Department for 67-year-old Kenneth Porter. Porter was last seen at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, walking away from his home in the 7500 block of Trapier Avenue in New Orleans.

Porter is a black male with brown eyes and grey hair.  He is 5’7” tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and blue or white tennis shoes.

Family members confirm that Porter suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to immediately contact the New Orleans Police Department at 504-658-6070 or dial 911.  All questions should be directed to the New Orleans Police Department.
