Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP A- NEWS RELEASE Clinton Man Dies in One-Vehicle Crash ETHEL- On August 22, 2008, at 9:37 a.m., troopers with Louisiana State Police- Troop A investigated a crash one-vehicle crash on LA Highway 956 north of LA Highway 412 which resulted in the death of Clinton man. Charles Bradley (B/M, age 62) was traveling southbound on LA Hwy 956 in his 1985 Mack dump truck when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the center line and ran off the roadway on the northbound side. Bradley’s vehicle then struck a tree. He was transported from the scene to Lane Memorial Hospital by Acadian Ambulance where he was pronounced dead by the hospital staff. Doctor’s believe Bradley may have had a heart attack prior to the crash. Bradley was not wearing his seatbelt. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in this crash but blood was taken from Bradley and will be submitted to the State Police Crime Lab for chemical analysis. Results are still pending.
