Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP A- NEWS RELEASE Alcohol Suspected In One Vehicle Crash At 1:28 AM, on Saturday, July 19, 2008, Louisiana State Police – Troop A began investigating a one vehicle fatal crash. The crash occurred on LA Hwy 964 south of LA Hwy 955 in East Feliciana Parish. A Dodge Caravan traveled north on LA Hwy 964 and drifted across the southbound lane of travel. After crossing the southbound lane, the Dodge entered a ditch, struck a culvert, rotated to the left and came to rest on the culvert facing south. The driver of the Dodge, Craig Stout (Male/Age 44) of Zachary, LA, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Feliciana Parish Coroner’s Office. Mr. Stout did not use a seat belt at the time of the crash and alcohol is suspected to be a factor. For more information contact: S/T Johnnie L.
