| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE Colonel Michael D. Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP A - NEWS RELEASE State Police and LSU PD Team Up to Combat LSU Football Season Ticket Sales Fraud BATON ROUGE - On October 19, 2008, Tommy R. Emmons II (W/M age 30) of Abita Springs was arrested based on a warrant for charges of theft and computer fraud in Jefferson Parish. Emmons was arrested after a joint investigation between State Police and the LSU Police Department. Emmons is accused of advertising, negotiating the sale of LSU Football season tickets on-line, and collecting money without ever producing the alleged tickets. According to LSP and LSU Detectives, Emmons committed this fraudulent act on two separate occasions in St. Tammany Parish. Detectives say Emmons collected money for LSU Football season tickets from two different victims and then quit responding to their communications. Emmons never delivered the season tickets to the victims. State Police Detectives picked Emmons up from the Jefferson Parish Jail on October 20, transported him to the St. Tammany Parish Jail, and booked him on the previously mentioned charges. This is the second time in two years that State Police Detectives have arrested Emmons for similar activity. State Police and LSU PD recommend that people be very cautious when purchasing tickets from non-reputable sources. If there are questions concerning the validity of any LSU admissions tickets, the public can call the LSU Ticket Office Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at (225)578-2184.
