Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP A - NEWS RELEASE Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Crowley Woman BATON ROUGE – A Crowley woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 Westbound in West Baton Rouge Parish shortly after 7:00 p.m. tonight when her 2003 Mitsubishi Galant ran off the road and struck a tree. Barbara A. Burnette (B/F, age 64) of Crowley, LA was traveling west on Interstate 10 at milepost 143 when she ran off the road to the right and struck a tree head-on. Burnette was wearing a seatbelt and her airbag deployed. Alcohol is not suspected to have been a factor in this crash. However, blood was taken and submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for chemical analysis. Contact Information: Tpr Russell G.
