| TROOP A NEWS RELEASE September 29, 2016 Denham Springs Man Killed in Head-On Crash in Livingston Parish Denham Springs, LA – Shortly after 9:00 am on September 29, 2016, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a two vehicle fatality crash on US 190 west of LA 1026 in Livingston Parish. The crash took the life of a 68 year old Harold Bergeron of Denham Springs, LA. The initial investigation by State Police revealed that the crash occurred as Bergeron was traveling westbound on US 190 in a 2015 GMC Sierra. At the same time, 33 year old Adam Andres of Independence, LA was traveling eastbound on US 190 in a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. For unknown reasons, Bergeron began to make a left turn onto Grey Eagle Rd. into the path of Andres’ vehicle. Both vehicles collided head-on in the eastbound lane of US 190. Bergeron was properly restrained but sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Andres was also properly restrained at the time of the crash and sustained serious injuries. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this crash, but a toxicology sample will be taken from Bergeron and Andres for analysis. Contact Information: | |||
