| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE State Police, Troop A – News Release For Immediate Release Driver Dies in Head-on Collision (Update) March 2, 2008 At 6:43 PM, on Saturday, March 01, 2008, Louisiana State Police, Troop A was notified of a two vehicle crash. The crash occurred on LA Hwy 19 south of Ethel, LA in East Feliciana Parish. As a result of the crash, Robert A. Brumfield, a twenty-eight year old male, from Norwood, LA, was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Feliciana Parish Coroner’s Office. Troopers determined the Ford Mustang, driven by Mr. Brumfield, was southbound on LA Hwy 19, while the Nissan Altima, driven by Dana L. Keys (a forty-three year old female) of Angola, LA, was northbound on LA Hwy 19. The Nissan Altima crossed the center line into the southbound lane of travel and crashed head-on into the Ford Mustang. The two juvenile passengers in the Ford Mustang sustained moderate injuries and were transported by Acadian Ambulance to Lane Memorial Regional Hospital. Ms. Keyes sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Acadian AirMed to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Seatbelts were used and alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
