Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release January 13th, 2011 Mandeville Teen arrested after obtaining Fraudulent License Following an investigation into a complaint made by the Office of Motor Vehicles, Louisiana State Police Region I Detectives have arrested Philip Achary, (W/M age 18) of Mandeville, LA, on charges of Filing False Public Records and Forgery. Through the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that Achary had fraudulently obtained a Louisiana Driver’s License from the Mandeville OMV using his older brother’s personal information. By using his brother’s name and date of birth, Achary was successful in acquiring a driver’s license with his photo showing he was over 21 years of age. On January 12, 2011, Achary surrendered to troopers at the St. Tammany Parish Jail and was booked without incident. Louisiana State Police Detectives are responsible for the investigation of violent crime, property crime, white collar/economic crime, identity theft, related financial crimes, and the apprehension of criminals and fugitives.
