Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release December 18th, 2010 Troopers arrest Two Mississippi Men on Drug Charges Hammond- Yesterday at 11:10 am, troopers assigned to the Louisiana State Police Criminal Patrols Unit stopped a 2010 Toyota Camry, driven by Andrew Thomas (B/M age 25), for following too closely on Interstate 12 at milepost 37 in Tangipahoa Parish. Upon interviewing the driver and passenger, Michael Fultz (B/M age 31) both of Jackson, MS, troopers noticed discrepancies in the purpose of their trip and signs of nervousness from both men. After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, troopers discovered approximately 2 kilograms (4.9 pounds) of cocaine concealed in the spoiler of the vehicle. Both men were placed under arrest and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on charges of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. Contact Information:
