Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release February 11th, 2011 Troopers partner with Multi-Agency Task Force in Sex Offender Roundup On February 9th, 2011, Louisiana State Police Region I Detectives joined forces with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, Hammond Police Department, Louisiana Probation and Parole, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Marshals in a parish wide sex offender fugitive round up. The operation consisted of forty two law enforcement agents who visited sixty three residences focusing on serving arrest warrants to non compliant sex offenders and conducting compliance checks on convicted sex offenders in Tangipahoa Parish. The collaborative effort resulted in a total of 9 arrests as well as 50 compliance checks throughout the parish. The following individuals were charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and booked without incident into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
