Tangipahoa Parish – Today at 08:40 am, Louisiana State Police Troop L investigated a one vehicle fatality crash on Interstate 55 south of Tickfaw at milepost #36 in Tangipahoa Parish.

Upon investigation, it was determined that William Pack, (W/M age 29) of Moss Point, MS, was traveling south on I-55 in a 2008 Peterbuilt 18 wheeler. For unknown reasons, the 18 wheeler ran off road to the right and impacted a tree with its right front bumper causing it to jack knife and become engulfed in flames.

Pack was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tangipahoa Parish Coroner’s Office. Seatbelt and alcohol use is unknown at this time with a blood test pending at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab.
