Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release May 13th, 2010 Hammond Man arrested on Child Pornography Charges A joint investigation by Louisiana State Police Region I Detectives, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General has led to the arrest of a Hammond resident for possession of child pornography. On May 12th, 2010, detectives conducted a search warrant based on a proactive child exploitation investigation at the residence of George Beebe (W/M age 28) of Hammond, Louisiana. As a result of the search warrant, investigators located images indicative of child pornography on a computer belonging to Beebe. During an interview with detectives, Beebe admitted to downloading the child pornography images. Beebe was charged with 26 counts of Distribution of Pornography Involving Juveniles and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
