Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release September 16th, 2010 Angie Resident killed in One Vehicle Crash Washington Parish – Yesterday at 08:35 pm, Louisiana State Police Troop L investigated a one vehicle fatality crash on LA 438 approximately three miles west of Angie in Washington Parish. The crash occurred as Dustin Mckenzie, (W/M age 32) of Angie, LA, was traveling eastbound on LA 438 in a 2005 Nissan Maxima. For unknown reasons, as Mckenzie proceeded eastbound, he lost control of his vehicle and ran off road to the right side of LA 438. Upon leaving the roadway, the Maxima impacted a concrete culvert and utility pole. Mckenzie, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington Parish Coroner’s Office. Alcohol use is unknown at this time with a toxicology test pending at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab.
