Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release July 16th, 2010 FDA Investigation leads to Bogalusa Resident Bogalusa, LA– A multi-agency investigation, including agents from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Postal Service, Bogalusa Police Department, Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Louisiana State Police Narcotic Detectives, has resulted in the arrest of a Bogalusa resident for Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription. The investigation began when U.S. Customs agents intercepted a package from China containing approximately 1,500 Viagra tablets. The package was en route to be delivered to Jude Taylor (B/M age 28) of Bogalusa, LA. A controlled delivery of the tablets was conducted by U.S. Postal Inspectors to the Bogalusa address, at which time the package was accepted by Taylor. After delivery of the package, investigators executed a search warrant for the residence locating an additional 150 Viagra tablets and 50 Cialas tablets.
