Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release August 10th, 2010 Mother and Son arrested in Fraud Investigation Louisiana State Police Region I Detectives have arrested Sherry Corona, (W/F age 41) and her 16 year old juvenile son, both of Slidell, LA, after the pair obtained a fraudulent identification card. The arrests resulted from an investigation into a complaint made by the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles Slidell office manager. The investigation began on June 28th, 2010 when Corona brought her minor son to the Slidell OMV in order to obtain a fraudulent identification card in her oldest son’s name. After obtaining the identification, Corona filed a fraudulent claim with the Louisiana Department of Social Services in an attempt to receive food stamp assistance. On August 4th, 2010, Corona was arrested in St. Tammany Parish and charged with Filing or Maintaining False Public Records, Inciting a Felony, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, Perjury, and Attempted Theft. Corona’s juvenile son was arrested on August 6th, 2010, charged with Filing or Maintaining False Public Records and Forgery. Contact Information:
