Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release July 28th, 2010 Bogalusa Man arrested on Drug Charges Bogalusa, LA– As the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation in Washington Parish, Louisiana State Police Narcotic Detectives arrested Darious E. Rodgers, (B/M age 33) of Bogalusa, LA. After making an undercover purchase of approximately one half ounce of powder cocaine, LSP investigators attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Rodgers at his residence on July 27th, 2010. As the detectives approached the residence, Rodgers attempted to flee on foot, but was soon apprehended and placed into custody. At the time of his arrest, Rodgers was found to be in possession of three plastic bags containing approximately 34 grams of “High Grade” Marijuana and $1, 137.00 in cash. Rodgers was booked into the Washington Parish Jail and charged with Distribution of a Schedule II CDS, Possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I CDS, and Resisting Arrest.
