| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE State Police, Troop A – News Release For Immediate Release Hit-and-Run Fatality has Troopers Searching for Clues February 21, 2008 At 10:26 AM, on Thursday, February 21, 2008, Louisiana State Police, Troop A responded to a hit-and-run crash that troopers believe happened prior to 5:00 AM this morning. The crash occurred on LA Hwy 408 east of LA Hwy 67 in East Baton Rouge Parish. Troopers were notified of a pickup truck in the driveway of a residence located on LA Hwy 408 east of Mickens Road. Upon arriving at the residence, troopers found an older model Dodge Ram pickup truck (red) blocking the driveway of the residence. The Dodge Ram sustained heavy front-end damage and a shattered windshield. State Police Detectives and Crime Laboratory personnel were called to the scene to assist with the investigation and identification of the deceased. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroners Office. Information about the deceased will be released once the Crime Lab identifies the pedestrian and the next of kin has been notified.
