FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE At 10:44 PM, on Sunday, February 3, 2008, Louisiana State Police, Troop A responded to a single vehicle crash. The crash occurred on Interstate 10 east of LA Hwy 3246 in East Baton Rouge Parish. A Blue Chevrolet Z-71 pickup truck was westbound on Interstate 10 (in the left lane) and veered off the expressway into the median. Once in the median, the driver steered to the right and the truck returned to the roadway. Unable to maintain control of the vehicle, the pickup truck traveled back into the median, rolled over, and landed upside down in a ravine. The passenger in the Z-71, Dana Phroer (W/F/Age 32) of Baton Rouge, LA, sustained minor injuries and was transported by East Baton Rouge Emergency Medical Services to Our Lady of The Lake Hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet Z-71, Gordon S. Phroer (W/M/Age 41) of Baton Rouge, LA, was not injured and was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail.
