| TROOP L NEWS RELEASE August 21st, 2012 Narcotics Investigation Leads to Discovery of Marijuana Grow House Slidell, LA- A collaborative investigation by Louisiana State Police Region I Narcotic Detectives, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, LA National Guard, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Drug Enforcement Administration has led to the discovery of a large scale Marijuana indoor grow operation in a Slidell neighborhood. Approximately three months ago, information obtained following a traffic stop in the Troop L area led LSP detectives to 51 year old Timothy O’Neil III suspected of cultivating Marijuana plants at his residence. After further investigation utilizing undercover agents, detectives gathered enough evidence to obtain a search warrant for O’Neil’s Slidell residence. Upon executing the warrant, authorities discovered numerous Marijuana plants being grown with an elaborate watering, filtration, and lighting system in addition to a large collection of semi-automatic and fully automatic weapons. Thus far, agents have seized 56 high grade live Marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, 21 firearms, a 2007 Dodge pickup truck, and over $5,000 in cash. In addition to the 56 plants estimated to be worth over $360,000, investigators discovered approximately $10,000 worth of packaged marijuana prepared for distribution. O’Neil and his girlfriend, 38 year old Margie Anderson of Slidell, were taken into custody and booked at the St. Tammany Parish Jail on the below listed charges. Timothy O’Neil III:
