FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE At 1:00 AM, on Monday, February 04, 2008, Louisiana State Police, Troop A responded to a one vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred on LA Hwy 1026 east of Eden Church Road in Livingston Parish. A 2007 Nissan Titan pickup truck was westbound on LA Hwy 1026, approaching Eden Church Road, and failed to negotiate a curve to the right. The driver of the Nissan Titan overcorrected and lost control. The pickup truck began rotating to the left as it traveled off the left side of the highway. After leaving the roadway, the pickup truck went through a ditch and struck a chain link fence with the passenger side. The top rail of the fence went through the passenger’s window and struck the occupant sitting in the front right seating position. The passenger sitting in the front right seating position, Corey Robin (W/M/Age 24) of Denham Springs, LA, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Livingston Parish Coroner’s Office. The passenger seated in the front middle position, Christina Britton (W/F/Age 28) of Denham Springs, LA, was not injured and was properly restrained. The driver, Aaron A. Abdollahi-Rad (O/M/Age 24) of Denham Springs, LA, was not injured and was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail for Driving While Intoxicated (1st Offense), Vehicular Homicide, and Careless Operation.
