| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE State Police, Troop A – News Release For Immediate Release Truck Crosses Center Line Leaving One Dead February 10, 2008 At 3:00 AM this morning, Louisiana State Police, Troop A was notified of a two vehicle crash. The crash occurred on US Hwy 190 east of LA Hwy 413 in West Baton Rouge Parish. The collision involved a 1995 Chevrolet Pickup truck (westbound) and a 2003 Suzuki passenger car (eastbound). The Chevrolet crossed the center lines and crashed head-on into the Suzuki. The crash resulted in one fatality and five occupants being transported to area hospitals. The driver of the Suzuki sustained fatal injuries and troopers are in the process of notifying the next of kin. There were two additional occupants in the Suzuki; both were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. The driver and two passengers in the Chevrolet were transported to local hospitals with moderate injuries. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this crash and seatbelts were not used by passengers in the Suzuki. The names of the occupants in both vehicles and charges will be released at the conclusion of the investigation. For more information contact: S/T Johnnie L.
