Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release May 12th, 2011 **UPDATE** Duplaisir was located by Louisiana State Police Detectives on May 12, 2011 and placed under arrest. She was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail charged with Bank Fraud, Access Device Fraud, Unauthorized Use of an Access Card, Identity Theft, Criminal Conspiracy, and Theft over $500. Hammond Resident arrested on Fraud Charges Following an investigation into a criminal complaint received through the Louisiana State Police on-line reporting system, LSP Detectives have arrested Eddie W. Buie, (W/M age 61) of Hammond, LA, on charges of Bank Fraud, Access Device Fraud, Unauthorized Use of an Access Card, Identity Theft, Criminal Conspiracy, and Theft over $500. Through the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that Buie had fraudulently obtained an American Express credit card in his son’s name. Buie and his girlfriend, Danyell Duplaisir (W/F age 26), proceeded to use the card to accumulate over $1300 in fraudulent charges throughout the Hammond area. Buie was arrested by investigators on May 2, 2011 and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on the above charges. LSP detectives are still searching for Duplaisir. | |||
