| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE State Police, Troop A – News Release For Immediate Release Inattentive Driver Crosses Median, Four Transported (Update) March 22, 2008 At 2:56 PM, on Saturday, March 22, 2008, Louisiana State Police – Troop A investigated a crash that sent four individuals to area hospitals. The crash occurred on Interstate 10 (I-10) east of LA Hwy 42 in Ascension Parish. The driver of the Kawasaki motorcycle, Charles Munce (a twenty-seven year old male) of Baton Rouge, LA, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Acadian AirMed to Baton Rouge General (Mid-City). The driver of the 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, Gwendolyn Annaloro (a twenty year old female) of Youngsville, LA, sustained serious injuries and was transported by Acadian Ambulance to Our Lady of The Lake. The passengers in the Chevrolet S-10, Allyson M. Smith (nineteen year old female) of Houma, LA, and Hannah Napier (nineteen year old female) of Athol, ID, both sustained moderate injuries and were taken by Acadian Ambulance to Our Lady of The Lake Hospital. Just before the crash Ms. Annaloro took her attention away from driving and was in the process of changing a compact disc. She is charged with Careless Operation. The injuries sustained are the result of a westbound Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck crossing the median, entering the left lane of I-10 eastbound and crashing head-on into a Kawasaki motorcycle. After the collision, the Chevrolet S-10 continued across the right lane of I-10 eastbound, through a ditch and struck a tree. For more information contact: S/T Johnnie L.
