TROOP L NEWS RELEASE December 21st, 2011 Troopers searching for Suspect in Child Pornography Investigation Following a joint investigation between the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Louisiana State Police, detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Marcus Dale Lee (W/M age 33) of Abita Springs, LA. The warrant stems from an investigation into alleged online child pornography and the computer aided solicitation of a minor. The investigation initiated from a complaint alleging that a 13 year old Iowa juvenile had been contacted by what she believed was a local 15 year old male directing her to perform sexual acts in front of a web cam. Through the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that the actual location of the “15 year old male” was the Abita Springs residence of a convicted and registered sex offender, Marcus Lee. Upon executing a search warrant at Lee’s residence, investigators seized Lee’s computer containing numerous images and videos indicative of child pornography. Lee was not at his residence at the time of the warrant and is believed to be hiding in the area in an effort to elude arrest.
