| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE State Police, Troop A – News Release For Immediate Release Driver Loses Control While Passing Illegally March 24, 2008 At 4:47 PM, on Monday, March 24, 2008, Louisiana State Police – Troop A began investigating a single vehicle fatal crash that occurred on LA Hwy 1019 west of LA Hwy 1023 in Livingston Parish. A 2003 Dodge pickup truck traveled eastbound, in a no passing zone, on LA Hwy 1019. As the roadway curved to the right, the Dodge exited the road to the right, entered a ditch and struck a large tree head-on. The driver of the Dodge, Mr. Casey D. Simpson, a twenty-six year old male of Denham Springs, LA, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Livingston Parish Coroner’s Office. Mr. Simpson was not restrained and alcohol use is not suspected to be a factor in this crash. For more information contact: S/T Johnnie L.
