Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: September 17, 2008 Angie Resident Killed in Crash on LA 436 in Washington Parish Today at 9:55 AM, Louisiana State Police, Troop-L investigated a one-vehicle crash on LA 436 at milepost 24.1 in Washington Parish. A 2000 Nissan pickup, driven by Patsy Midkiff (W/F/Age 67) of Angie, LA, was traveling south on LA 436. The Nissan pickup traveled off the roadway to the right. Once off the roadway the pickup traveled approximately 385 feet in a ditch, before striking a tree. After impact, the Nissan pickup overturned coming to final rest. The driver of the Nissan pickup, Patsy Midkiff of Angie, LA, was transported to LSU Medical Center (Bogalusa) to receive medical treatment for severe injuries. Once at LSU Medical Center Patsy Midkiff was pronounced dead. It is unknown at this time if Patsy Midkiff died because of a medical condition or injuries that she sustained in the crash. Patsy Midkiff was pronounced dead by Dr. Bryan Barrett of the LSU Medical Center (Bogalusa). The driver was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
