Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP A- NEWS RELEASE Plaquemine Resident Dies in One Vehicle Crash At 7:27 PM, on June 2, 2008, Louisiana State Police – Troop A began investigating a one vehicle fatal crash. The crash occurred on LA Hwy 75 south of LA Hwy 404 in Iberville Parish. A 2001 Mazda 626 traveled southbound on LA Hwy 75 and exited the roadway to the right. As the Mazda left the roadway, the vehicle began rotating to the right and struck a tree with the driver’s side of the vehicle. After striking the tree, the Mazda continued to rotate until stopping in a ditch. The driver of the Mazda, Raven N. Dardar (Female/Age 17) of Plaquemine, LA, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene the Iberville Parish Coroner’s Office. Ms. Dardar wore a seat belt and alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in this crash. For more information contact: S/T Johnnie L.
