Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release Date: December 4, 2008 Kentwood Resident Killed in Crash on LA 450 in Washington Parish Today, December 4, 2008 at 7:50 AM, Louisiana State Police Troop L investigated a one-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a Kentwood resident. The crash occurred on LA 450, just south of LA 10 at milepost 10.5 in Washington Parish. A 2007 Nissan four door, driven by William Rohrbacker (W/M/Age 67) of Kentwood, LA, was traveling southbound on LA 450, south of LA 10. For unknown reasons, the Nissan traveled off the roadway to the right. Once off the roadway the Nissan traveled approximately 110 feet and struck a large tree. The driver of the Nissan four door, William Rohrbacker, of Kentwood, LA, was transported to Riverside Medical Center by Advanced EMS, to receive medical treatment for injuries sustained in the crash. While being treated at Riverside Medical Center, William Rohrbacker was pronounced dead by Dr. Gregory Collins, due to injuries sustained in the crash. The driver was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. Alcohol/drugs use is not suspected in the crash; blood was obtained and will be submitted for analysis.
