| NEWS RELEASE Troop L March 31, 2008 Today, at 2:42 AM, Louisiana State Police Troop L investigated a one vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a Kenner resident. The crash occurred on LA 433 at milepost 10.5 in St. Tammany Parish. A 2001 Cadillac Eldorado, driven by Anthony Bonanno (W/M/Age 49) of Kenner, LA, was traveling westbound on LA 433. The driver failed to negotiate a curve to the left and traveled off the roadway to the right and into a ditch. The Cadillac continued for approximately 15 feet and impacted a driveway culvert. The vehicle then became airborne for approximately 25 feet and struck a utility pole. After striking the utility pole the vehicle came to final rest on its roof. During the crash the driver was partially ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the 2001 Cadillac Eldorado, Anthony Bonanno of Kenner, LA, was pronounced dead on the scene by Michael Rodrigue of the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office, due to injuries sustained in the crash. The driver was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. Alcohol usage is unknown at this time; however, blood results are pending. Passenger one, Christopher W. Rudge (W/M/Age 33) of New Orleans, LA, was transported to Slidell Memorial Hospital by Acadian Ambulance to receive medical treatment for severe injuries. Passenger two, Laura M. Campbell (W/F/Age 41) of New Orleans, LA, was transported to Slidell Memorial Hospital by Acadian Ambulance to receive medical treatment for moderate injuries. It is unknown at this time if the passenger’s were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Contact Information: Tfc.
