| NEWS RELEASE LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: March 23rd, 2008 Fatal Crash on U.S. 190 On Saturday, March 22nd, 2008 at 7:40 PM, Louisiana State Police, Troop L investigated a two vehicle fatal crash on U.S. 190 two miles west of LA 434 in Lacombe, LA. The crash involved a 2004 Nissan pick-up driven by Vincent Guidera (W/M, 43 yrs), of Lacombe, LA and a 2006 Ford pick-up driven by Stanley W. Rogillo (W/M, 38 yrs), of Lacombe, LA. The Nissan was traveling westbound on U.S. 190 at which time it crossed the center line and proceeded into the path of the Ford, which was traveling eastbound on U.S. 190. The Nissan then struck the Ford at which time the Nissan began to rotate counterclockwise and came to rest in the center of U.S. 190. The Ford continued off the right side of the roadway and came to rest straddling the gravel shoulder and the ditch. The driver of the Ford, Rogillo refused aid, exited the ambulance and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. Mr. Rogillo was later found with the assistance of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, at his mother’s residence hiding under a bed. Mr. Rogillo was returned to the scene and arrested for DWI, driving with a suspended driver’s license, and resisting an officer. Mr. Rogillo was booked at the St. Tammany Parish Lock-up. Mr. Guidera was transported to La. Heart Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Driver impairment is a suspected factor with both drivers.
