| NEWS RELEASE Troop L March 6, 2008 Are your child’s safety seats or booster seats being installed properly and used correctly? On Saturday, March 8, the Louisiana State Police Troop L and the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force will check car seats in the Mack Grubbs Motors parking lot. There is no cost involved. If you are not quite sure about matching your child with the age and size appropriate seat, or just want to double check what you have installed, this will be an opportunity for you to gain confidence in both safety seat fitting and the installation process. While we know that vehicle crashes are still the leading cause of death to children, and that nearly 8 out of 10 car seats are installed incorrectly, providing this check-up is one of the most important services we can offer.
