| Troop L - NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release May 05, 2008 At 5:05 PM, on May 4, 2008, Louisiana State Police Troop L investigated a one vehicle crash that resulted in the death of the driver. The crash occurred on LA 43 southbound at milepost 33.5 in St. Helena Parish. A 1990 Buick Lesabre, driven by Angela C. Roberts (W/F/Age 40) of St. Francisville, LA, was traveling southbound on LA 43. The Buick Lesabre traveled off the west side of the roadway into a ditch. The vehicle then impacted a culvert, rolled end over end twice and came to final rest upside down in the ditch facing north. The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The driver of the Buick Lesabre, Angela Roberts of St. Francisville, LA, was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Varnado of the St. Helena Parish Coroner’s Office, due to injuries sustained in the crash. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash; blood was obtained and will be submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis. Contact Information: Tfc.
