Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release January 26th, 2010 Covington Resident arrested in Child Pornography Investigation Covington- As a result of Operation Child Watch, an aggressive enforcement campaign against online child exploitation, Louisiana State Police Region I Detectives arrested a Covington resident for possession of child pornography. On January 25, 2010, detectives conducted a search warrant based on a proactive child exploitation investigation at the residence of James A. Wager (W/M age 30) of Covington, Louisiana. As a result of the investigation, Troopers identified Wager as the individual in the residence downloading images of child pornography. Through further investigation, Troopers discovered 75 different computer files which contained images of sexual abuse of prepubescent children. Troopers also located a young female juvenile inside the residence and contacted Office of Community Support who responded to the scene. Due to the unsanitary living conditions of the residence, OCS took the juvenile female into custody. Wager was charged with 75 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
