Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP L- NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release February 8th, 2010 Tangipahoa Man booked in Internet Sting Operation Tangipahoa- The continuing efforts by Louisiana State Police Detectives to catch online child predators, has resulted in a Tangipahoa man arrested for indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer aided solicitation of a minor. On July 17, 2009, through July 27, 2009, detectives conducted an on-line internet sting operation in Tangipahoa Parish. During the operation, an undercover trooper, posing as a fifteen year old female, was contacted by an adult male on four separate occasions. All four of the chat conversations consisted of graphic sexual content. Through the investigation, detectives identified the adult male as Todd Gohmert (W/M age 37) of Tangipahoa. An arrest warrant was obtained for Gohmert for 2 counts each of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor. On February 2, 2010, Gohmert was located and arrested without incident by Louisiana State Police Detectives and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail. Contact Information:
