Louisiana State Police/ SSA Cooperative Disability Investigation Unit and the Ponchatoula Police Department Arrest Darryl L. Williams Jr.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2009, Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigation Division, The Social Security Administration, and the Ponchatoula Police Department arrested Darryl L. Williams on charges involving Resisting Arrest by Flight, Switched License Plate, and 14 other outstanding charges.

On Friday, May 8, 2009, a Louisiana State Police Trooper attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle in Hammond, LA. As the vehicle came to a stop, the driver exited the vehicle and fled into an apartment complex on foot. The trooper observed the subject and the violator was captured his image with his onboard video camera. The investigation revealed that the vehicle’s license plate was registered to Darryl L. Williams Jr., but did not belong on the vehicle that was stopped, which was registered to another party. The investigation also revealed that numerous local warrants were outstanding for the arrest of Williams.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2009, Williams was observed in front of his residence in Ponchatoula, LA. Williams was arrested and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Tangipahoa Parish Jail and booked on all charges.
