Gonzales Woman Killed in Crash on Interstate 55 in Tangipahoa Parish

A vehicle crash on Interstate 55, took the life of a Gonzales woman just after 11:30 a.m. this afternoon.

Today at 11:34 AM, Louisiana State Police Troop L investigated a one-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a Gonzales resident. A 2005 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by Kim A. Dubroc (W/F/Age 42) of Gonzales, LA, was traveling northbound on Interstate 55. For unknown reasons, the driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle and it traveled off the right side of the roadway. As the pickup continued off the roadway, it struck a milepost sign with its left front fender. After impact, the driver appeared to attempt to regain control and steered to the left. The pickup began to rotate counter-clockwise and flipped approximately twice and came to rest upside down in a water-filled ditch.

The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup, Kim A. Dubroc was pronounced dead at the scene by Assistant Coroner Mark Apperson of the Tangipahoa Parish Coroner’s Office. Impairment is unknown at this time; blood was obtained and will be submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
