| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE State Police, Troop A – News Release For Immediate Release Principle to Armed Robbery Charged With Murder April 3, 2008 On April 3, 2008, efforts of detectives from the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office, West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police resulted in the arrest of a Baker, LA resident for First Degree Murder. The arrest is the result of a homicide that occurred in East Feliciana Parish. On December 3, 2007, a group of hunters discovered the body of Mr. Andre Turner near US Hwy 61 at the East Feliciana Parish line. Working with detectives from West Feliciana Parish and Louisiana State Police, East Feliciana Parish detectives determined that, Ms. Josie Y. Morgan, an accomplice to an armed robbery of a West Feliciana Parish business owner was responsible for Mr. Turner’s death. Already in custody for charges stemming from the armed robbery, Ms. Morgan (a thirty-six year old female) of Baker, LA, was transported to the East Feliciana Parish Jail and booked for First Degree Murder.
