TROOP L NEWS RELEASE January 05, 2018 Pedestrian Killed on US 190 in Lacombe Lacombe- On Friday January 5, 2017 at approximately 5:25 AM, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L were notified of a fatal pedestrian crash on US 190 near the intersection of Mill Rd. The crash has claimed the life of 80-year-old Lacombe resident Joseph Herrin Ordone. The initial investigation has led Troopers to determine that the crash occurred as Ordone was standing in the westbound lane of US 190. Ordone was wearing dark clothing, when he was struck by a 2017 Infinity QX8, which had been traveling westbound on US-190. After Ordone was struck in the initial impact, witnesses reported that he was struck by several additional vehicles. The crash investigation is ongoing. Presently, impairment is not being considered as a contributing factor in this crash.
