TROOP L NEWS RELEASE June 22, 2018 Unrestrained Denham Springs Resident Killed in Crash on Interstate 55 Independence- At approximately 10:25 PM, on Thursday June 21, 2018, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L responded to a single vehicle fatal crash on the Interstate 55 Northbound off-ramp to LA 40. The crash has claimed the life of 32-year-old Denham Springs Resident Bradley Bozeman. The initial investigation led Troopers to determine that the crash occurred as Bozeman was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on the Interstate 55 off-ramp to LA 40. Bozeman’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and back across the right side, where it crashed into a tree. Bozeman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained severe injuries. He was transported to Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Shortly after his arrival, Bozeman succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. As part of the ongoing investigation, blood samples were collected and will be sent to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis. Troopers would like to remind motorists of the importance of safe decisions behind the wheel. While not all crashes are survivable, simply wearing your seatbelt drastically increases your chances of surviving a serious crash. Please speak to your loved ones about the importance of always wearing a seatbelt, never driving impaired and avoiding distractions. Contact Information: S/T Dustin Dwight | |||
