| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE State Police, Troop A – News Release For Immediate Release Strange Weeds Lead to Arrests May 8, 2008 Wednesday, April 7, 2008, Louisiana State Police – South District Narcotics troopers and Livingston Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men for growing marijuana. The plants were located at a residence on Lotts Lane in Denham Springs, LA. Troopers and deputies received information alleging that someone was growing marijuana at a residence on Lotts Lane. With the support of the Louisiana State Police – Air Support unit, troopers were able to confirm the presence of the plants growing in the backyard of the residence. Troopers and deputies on the ground were notified and deputies secured fifteen marijuana plants from the rear of the residence. Due to the fact that no one was home, no arrests were made at that time. Later in the day, troopers returned to the residence and interviewed the homeowner, Mr. Randal Singleton, and a visitor, Mr. John Long. Mr. Singleton was subsequently arrested on charges of Cultivating Marijuana and Simple Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Long was arrested on a charge of Simple Possession of Marijuana.
