TROOP L NEWS RELEASE Slidell Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash on LA 433 Slidell – On Friday, October 30, 2020, shortly before 5:00 pm, Louisiana State Police Troop L began investigating a one vehicle fatal crash on LA 433 south of US Hwy 190 in St. Tammany Parish. The crash took the life of 46-year-old Jason A. Rodriquez of Slidell. The initial investigation revealed that Rodriquez was traveling southbound on LA 433 in a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica when he exited the roadway. The vehicle impacted multiple trees before coming to a stop. Rodriquez was transported to a local hospital where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash. He was properly restrained and impairment is not suspected to a be a factor in the crash. As part of the ongoing investigation, a blood sample was taken from Rodriquez for scientific analysis. Louisiana State Troopers wish to remind motorists to always make good decisions while in a motor vehicle. Never drive while impaired, fatigued, or distracted, always ensure every occupant is properly restrained, and follow all traffic laws.
