Troop L - NEWS RELEASE Traffic Violation Leads to Marijuana Seizure in St. Tammany Yesterday, Troop L Troopers arrested an Alabama man for Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana following a traffic stop on Interstate 12 in St. Tammany Parish. On Thursday January 16, 2014 shortly before 9:00 am, Troopers observed a traffic violation on a 2002 Cadillac Deville on Interstate 12 eastbound near the La. 1077 exit. During the course of the traffic stop consent to search the vehicle was requested and granted. During the search, Troopers recovered approximately 22 pounds of marijuana. Troopers arrested the driver, Cruz E. Gonzales (O/M 22) of Blountsville, Al., and booked him into the St. Tammany Parish Jail for Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
