Edmonson, Superintendent Troop I Press Release December 4, 2010 New Iberia Man Dies in Single Vehicle Crash St. Martin Parish- This evening, Louisiana State Police Troop I investigated a single vehicle crash on LA 341 near Lawless Tauzin Road. The crash claimed the life of a New Iberia man. According to investigating troopers, on December 4, 2010, at 5:10 p.m., a 2005 Honda motorcycle was traveling south on LA 341. As the driver, 49-year-old Eddie Bonin of New Iberia, LA, was approaching a right curve he drove off the left side of the road. Bonin struck a ditch, and was ejected from the motorcycle. Bonin died at the scene as a result of his injuries. He was pronounced dead by the St. Martin Parish Coroner. Routine toxicology samples were obtained and are pending at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. The crash remains under investigation. For More Information Contact: | |||
