One Killed, Three Injured in Ascension Parish Crash Sorrento – Louisiana State Police, Troop A investigated a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 east of US 61 shortly after 4:00 pm this afternoon. Troopers’ investigation revealed that Kellie Wilson (W/F, age 27) of Metairie was driving a 2006 Acura west on I-10 when she lost control of her vehicle and crossed the median, entering the left eastbound lane. The Acura struck a 2007 Ford Van that was traveling east on I-10 in the left eastbound lane and pushed it into a 2010 Dodge Avenger, which was traveling east on I-10 in the right eastbound lane. Wilson sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. The driver of the Ford van , Ross Goodrich (W/M, age 53) of Montgomery, LA and both of his passengers, Ola Williams (W/F, age 65) of Colfax, LA and Bonnie Goodrich (W/F, age 48) of Montgomery, LA sustained injuries and were transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. Ola Williams later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical staff at St. Elizabeth. The driver of the Dodge Avenger, Derek Crofton (W/M, age 53) of Houston, TX sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Alcohol is not suspected to have been a factor in this crash. However, Troopers have submitted blood samples from Kellie Wilson and Ross Goodrich to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for chemical analysis. Derek Crofton voluntarily submitted a breath sample to the Intoxilyzer 5000, which showed that he had no detectable alcohol in his system.
