Edmonson, Superintendent Crash Critically Injures One Person And Sends Two Others To The Hospital August 6, 2008 Louisiana State Police - Troop I investigated a two vehicle critical injury crash, on US 90 at its intersection with La 724 within Lafayette Parish, shortly after 11:00am this morning. Seventy-six year old Margie Mattox of Crowley, La, was operating a 2002 Buick Century, northbound on La 724 at US 90. Thirty-eight year old Darren Roberts of Rayne, La, was operating a 2001 Ford Explorer, eastbound on US 90 approaching La 724. Mattox made a left turn onto US 90 in the path of the Ford Explorer. The Explorer struck the driver's side of Buick Century in the eastbound lane of US 90. Mattox received critical injuries. Roberts received minor injuries and both drivers were transported to Southwest Medical Center. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
