Edmonson, Superintendent I-10 Crash Critically Injures One Person July 13, 2008 Louisiana State Police – Troop I is investigated a single vehicle critical crash on I-10 westbound, east of Egan, within Acadia Parish, at approximately 4:00 am this morning. Thirty- seven year old Angela Cloud of Kinder, La, was operating a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero, westbound on I-10 near milepost 73 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled off roadway right, entered a ditch and struck a tree on the north side of I-10. A passenger in the vehicle twenty-nine year old Christopher Alfaro, sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Lafayette General Medical Center. Cloud sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Crowley American Legion. Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in this crash. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
